Meet the Founder
After my first baby, I felt like I had lost something.
I loved being a mom. But somewhere in the endless giving, I disappeared.
And life just kept going. I was there, but I didn’t FEEL there.
A friend and I decided to do something different for our birthdays. Not the usual dinner or drinks.
We went to an art cafe in New York. She picked clay. I picked collage. For two hours we sat across from each other working on completely different projects. No comparison. No pressure. Just creating, chatting, and comfortable silence.
When I walked out holding my collage, I felt happy.
Not mom happy. Just me happy.
Deeply, deeply happy.
For days after I felt more present in the rest of my life. I couldn’t believe that two hours and a pair of scissors could do what months of just pushing through couldn’t.
I could feel the relief ripple out into every part of life.
Now I want to bring that experience to Orange County.
Because here’s what I know: two hours of creativity a month can make you more present for all the other hours. It regulates you. It grounds you. It gives you back to yourself so you can actually show up for your life instead of just rushing through it.
For anyone who feels like life is passing them by. Who needs a break, not a whole new set of habits to implement to try and feel better. Who can’t remember the last time they got to finish a project without being interrupted by everyone else’s needs.
I see you.
Creativity isn’t just about making something. It’s how you find your way back to yourself.
