Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Craft Room is a self-guided studio experience. We provide a curated kit of our studio supplies, a designated table space, and optional inspiration prompts so you can enjoy time to simply create.

  • Yes!! The Craft Room is designed to be a playful, supportive, and relaxed environment for artists at all levels.  We offer basic “how to” guides with each kit that explain how to use the materials provided. Inspiration Cards are also available to help you get started.

  • Submitting your medium selection ahead of time helps us prepare for your pop up event experience. If you change your mind at least 24+ hours ahead of your reservation, you may send your change request via email. If you change your mind within 24 hours of the event (or just as you arrive) we will do our best to accommodate your request and offer you the medium of your choice.

If you change your mind once your session has started we offer a MEDIUM SWITCH Add On option for $15. A MEDIUM SWITCH can be ordered as long as there is at least 45 minutes left in your reserved session. Limited one per session.

  • While we do accept walk-ins if space allows, our sessions often fill up quickly and mediums can sell out. We highly recommend booking your session in advance through our website to ensure we have your preferred kit ready for you.

  • Your reservation includes a dedicated table space for two hours from the start of your reservation time, use of a studio supply kit for one medium of your choosing, and paper. We also handle all the setup and cleanup so that you can just show up and create.

  • To maintain a cohesive environment and ensure we respect the "no-mess" policies of our partner venues, we ask that you use the studio supply kits provided by The Craft Room.

  • Absolutely! We love our host venues and encourage you to enjoy their offerings. In fact, nothing pairs better with a charcoal sketch than a latte.

  • The Craft Room art café experiences that are currently scheduled are designed for adults. Please sign up for our waitlist if you’re interested in joining one of our family friendly events in the future.

  • If you find that you don't want to take your work home, you are welcome to leave it on the table when you depart. We honor the process, regardless of the result.

Please note per the waiver: Ownership of Abandoned Artwork The Craft Room encourages the philosophy of "Process over Product." If you choose to leave your artwork behind at the end of the session, you officially "release it to the studio." You agree that any artwork left on the table becomes the property of The Craft Room and may be used, repurposed (such as for the Collage Bar), or disposed of at the studio’s discretion.

  • The Craft Room: Studio Policies

Cancellation & Refund Policy We understand that life happens. However, because our studio sessions are limited and materials are prepared in advance, we adhere to the following policy:

    * Cancellations with 24+ Hours Notice: If you cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled session, you are eligible for a full refund or a one-time transfer to a future pop-up date within 3 months of the original reservation date (subject to availability).

    * Cancellations within 24 Hours: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session start time are non-refundable. At this stage, your materials have already been prepared and your space has been held. However, an exception may be made at the discretion of the owner and a one-time transfer to a future pop-up date within 3 months of the original reservation date (subject to availability) may be applied.

    * No-Shows: If you do not arrive for your reserved session, your booking fee will be forfeited.

    * Studio Cancellations: In the rare event that The Craft Room must cancel a session due to weather, venue issues, or facilitator illness, you will be notified immediately and offered a full refund or a priority transfer to a future date.

Studio Conduct & Venue Respect The Craft Room is a guest in our local community venues. To maintain these partnerships and ensure a sanctuary-like atmosphere for all guests, we ask that you adhere to the following:

    * The "No-Mess" Promise: Please keep all creative materials (especially charcoal and watercolor) within the boundaries of your designated workspace. We provide protective measures to ensure the venue’s furniture remains pristine.

    * Atmosphere: To protect the focused nature of the studio, we ask that guests keep phone volume to zero.

    * End of Session: We ask that you begin winding down your practice 10 minutes before the end of your 2-hour window. This allows us to refresh the space for the next guest or the venue.
